Kanitha is an acupuncturist whose clinical approach is informed by her extensive background in osteopathy, combining anatomical knowledge, palpation skills, and a comprehensive understanding of the human body.

Before dedicating her professional practice to acupuncture, Kanitha completed five years of training in osteopathy and practised in the field for over 10 years. Throughout this experience, she worked with a diverse range of patients, including individuals presenting with complex musculoskeletal conditions.

Her previous osteopathic training and clinical experience have contributed to her understanding of anatomy, biomechanics, tissue characteristics, and the relationships between different structures of the body. This background continues to inform her clinical assessments and her approach to acupuncture.

Her experience with palpation also contributes to her acupuncture practice, helping her assess anatomical structures, observe tissue responses, and adapt her needling techniques to each patient's individual presentation.

Clinical Approach and Professional Development

Kanitha completed her acupuncture training at Collège de Rosemont, followed by an intensive one-year clinical internship at Atelier Palestra, where she further developed her clinical reasoning and practical skills, particularly in the assessment and acupuncture treatment of orthopedic and neurological conditions.

Her approach emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of each patient's concerns, combining clinical assessment, anatomical knowledge, and individualized acupuncture treatments.

She continues to pursue professional development through additional training in neuro-acupuncture, integrative acupuncture, medical auriculotherapy, and approaches related to musculoskeletal and pelvic floor conditions.

Kanitha has a particular clinical interest in orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, and pelvic floor dysfunctions. Her background allows her to consider different anatomical and functional factors when assessing a patient's condition within the scope of her acupuncture practice.

Her goal is to provide thoughtful, individualized care while helping patients better understand their bodies and participate actively in their health and well-being.
